WordPress是WordPress软件基金会的一套使用PHP语言开发的博客平台，该平台支持在PHP和MySQL的服务器上架设个人博客网站。REST API是其中的一个用于操作其它API界面的插件。 WordPress 4.7.2之前的4.7.x版本的REST API的wp-includes/rest-api/endpoints/class-wp-rest-posts-controller.php文件的‘register_routes’参数存在安全漏洞，该漏洞源于程序没有要求整数标识符。远程攻击者可利用该漏洞更改任意页面。
